i'm sitting here un-stitching these little stitches on the oxfords i'm making, listening to lily allen, ecology research on hold, and wanting to do so much more.
there are three weeks left in my first year of college. It's an exciting count down as it marks a milestone, the end of continuous school responsibilities, and a return home. It also means that I have three weeks left to:
please ignore the italics as this list is also a reminder to myself of what i need to do
redo or finish my nature studies pieces: tulips in gouache, mixed media shells
finish accordion gusset bags: my mother's: which i still need to cut out the leather applique and sew it on, and my own, the millions (exaggeration) of petals i intend to put on to make it all valentino-esque
finish pair of oxfords: oh hello adler sewing machine that makes like 10 stitches a centimeter...resew parts, make eye row, last
ecology&environmental problems research: is wind power green?
psychopathology presentation: research alfred adler and his studies on sibling ordering
photoshop portfolio: 8 rendered designs, 4 scanned drop in fabrics and 4 painted
The weather is supposed to be fantastic this weekend, hitting the 80's? But I think i'll have to spend most of inside doing all this work. Hopefully, I won't procrastinate any longer. Tomorrow I'll be spending sometime with my future roommates and take a short shopping trip to Rockefeller Center, I'm a little behind on some April birthday presents, and one of them needs help picking out a wardrobe for her study abroad! Friday I'm attending a Stewart Weitzman party after my psychopathology class, so that should be an experience. I don't know what the weekend entails yet, but I hope I'll be getting some work done in there.
My design student life does incorporate some more "legit" collegiate characteristics! I still love it, especially being in the city, but why can't I have more of a business student's schedule? BOOOO. (haha no offense, you know i love you darlings)
There's still much of the city I haven't explored yet, and I'm not sure I'll be getting the chance before semester ends...
I have so many things I want to write about too, but I really can't spend anymore time on this right now. I'll just say that I watched Slumdog Millionaire last night and it was absolutely beautiful. I definitely want to see this on a bigger screen and not just on my computer with not-so-good quality.
AND, i leave you with this hilarious short one minute clip. STORY OF MY LIFE.
